Examination Results and Hayao Miyazaki

Well, I didn't think I'll blog about this...and I won't really, lol...but just a little note will do.

Results were out today. My CAP has lowered. Oh well.

I did a bit better than expected (because I have a bad habit of expecting very low, er, I was expecting to fail one module (or more, depending on my mood heh)), and I didn't fail anything. Got my first taste of something quite nasty, though. Sigh.

Well, when something isn't going in the right direction, you gotta start figuring out where it went wrong, and how you're going to avoid that in the future. So, hmm, my problem seems to be lack of proper time management, procrastination, lack of passion/interest and lack of knowledge. So, on to the next semester!! And pray I'll do better next time. Oh!! And we all have to have something to work towards!! So this is my aim:
1) Next year's portfolio is going to be really pretty.
2) Next year's grades are going to be really symmetrical. And pretty. Despite the symmetry. Heh.

LOL.

Oh, and I want to thank God for my results anyway!! I am quite happy actually, despite not doing very well O.o But drat, I shouldn't be happy, I must learn to set higher standards for myself.

Hayao Miyazaki
I've been watching a lot of Hayao Miyazaki films lately!! I think his works are so beautiful, so much work must have been put in to create all the detail!! And the music by Joe Hisaishi is so good too!! Here's the Studio Ghibli webbie!!

Just finished watching Spirited Away...wonderful graphics, as usual, and great storyline! I watched The Wizard of Earthsea a few days ago, and am going to watch The Cat Returns in a while, when I find the time!! And rewatch Spirited Away a few more times!! And get hold of Princess Mononoke, Laputa, Grave of the Fireflies, Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Nausicaa....in time...in time...when I start earning my own money hehee...I'll get the special editions!! Weeee~ I am a FAN!!! O.o I really am... O.o Oh dear. But honestly, his works have quality you don't get elsewhere!! The graphics!!! Swoooon!!

Spirited Away Opening!! Itsudemo Nandemo

Love this one...

Inochi no Namae (In The Name of Life)

And more more more!! Procession of the gods, Reprise, Day of the River, Kamigami Sama.....check em on youtube!! Hahaaa!!! And the other soundtracks by Joe Hisaishi for the other films!! Howl's Moving Castle is particularly GOOD!! Beautiful graphics, great story lines (Wizard of Earthsea was a little lacking tho), super nice music, super cute main characters (Both, male and female haha!! Sometimes the males look like females, though!!), super cute supporting characters (Mice!! Cats!!! Little dust balls!!!), super interesting baddies....makes for interesting watching!! Heheh!!

Ooo, I am a fan...I must be a fan like this...are fans usually like this?

Lol, lol, lol...

(17) Lamb Of God

Lamb Of God
Twila Paris

Your only Son
No sin to hide
But You have sent Him,
From Your side
To walk upon this guilty sod
And to become the Lamb of God

Your gift of Love
We crucified
We laughed and scorned Him as he died
The humble King
We named a fraud
And sacrificed the Lamb of God

Chorus:
Oh Lamb of God, Sweet lamb of God
I love You, Holy Lamb of God
Oh wash me in Your precious Blood
My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God

I was so lost I should have died
But You have brought me to Your side
To be led by Your staff and rod
And to be called Your lamb, O God

(16) Amazing Grace

I learned some things yesterday, and it was about studying the Bible!!
Well, Rev. Steven Loh was the guest speaker at CEFC yesterday, and he was speaking on wrong beliefs!! It's a very relevant topic, and perhaps I will blog about it one day, but one thing he said was quite important for me, and here it is!!

God's word is very important so that we can discern true teaching from the wrong, so:

1) We have to READ the word.
2) We have to STUDY the word.
3) We have to HEAR the word.
4) We have to MEMORIZE the word.
5) And then we have to MEDITATE on the word, so that we may be careful to do everything written in it!!!

Oh!! And I found a version of the song Amazing Grace on Dniz's blog, and I realized how much I like this song, so here it is:

Amazing Grace(My Chains are Gone)

Chris Tomlin

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see

'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow
The sun forbid to shine
But God, Who called me here below
Will be forever mine
Will be forever mine

Oh, and my sister Esther is convinced mummy likes to amuse herself by giving her wrong info lols!! This happened when she was 12!!

Esther: Mummy, who is the richest man in the world?
Mom: Bill Gates
Esther: Really? What does he do?
Mom: He sells Windows...

Erm, I don't know whether you got it or not, but yesterday when my family was wondering around Banting looking for this secluded place which sold GREAT BEGGAR CHICKEN (My fam has been on the look out for GREAT beggar chicken for some time, apparently) my sis gave some rather interesting info which she said mom confirmed hahaaa!! And then when we told her it was quite obviously out of the question, she announced that mummy liked to twist info!! Then she told us the above story, which I found really super funny!! :D :D :D

Mummy's coming home TODAY!! I think...

~happy~

Shades of Gray.

Hmm, I guess you could say a lot of families are dysfunctional, sometimes because of misunderstandings due to big generation gaps. Traditional vs what is going on in the world now...sometimes the traditional just can't work anymore...

Well, things aren't black and white sometimes.

I guess if you start thinking if what you are doing pleases God or not, then some of the grayness will suddenly turn color and you know what to do.

God looks at the heart.

Does what you do depend on what another does? If someone hates you do you hate them back? No, you love them back...

A great deal changes when you seek to please God.

Mom went down to Singapore to 'fulfill some obligations'. I guess theres a bit of havoc there now, traditional vs modern. Families can be weird sometimes...

Really have to keep grandma and grandpa in prayer. And all the aunts and uncles...

So since mummy is in Singapore, I am officially the 'BABYSITTER'!! LOL...

And I am strictly NOT allowed to bring the kids out. Sigh.

So guess guess guess what we've been doing? Well, we've played a lot of games.

Game 1: Watch TV
Game 2: Watch TV
Game 3: Eat lunch
Game 4: Watch a CD
Game 5: Watch a CD
Game 6: Clean the house game!!!
Game 7: Dinner
Game 8: Try to book a movie game (This is because dad came back, so we can go out...)
Game 9: Give up on the game.
Game 10: Movie marathon on the best trilogies of all time!!! ~weeeeee~

Mummy had better get back soon lol...

Satay Kajang

Finally went Kajang to have the famous Satay Kajang Faffy wanted me to belanja him...turned out there was no such thing as THE FAMOUS SATAY KAJANG but all the satays in Kajang were good (I KNOW there is a difference...somewhere...really...)...so anyways, me, Ann Pang, Albelot and Faffy went to this big satay place and now I'll let the pics do the talking!! :D

I think we got more than we ordered O.o But we only PAID for what we ordered o.O
:B Poor fellah who didn't get his order...tho he ordered hati (which Faffy die die also dowan to eat...Albelot tak suka langsung...Ann gave me hers to eat hahaa! I was so lucky I din choose the hati ones, only when Ann let me try hers that I got it hehee...it wasn't THAT bad larh.....)

Peanut sauce!!

Cucumber and ketupat!!

SATAY...We tried rabbit!! Hhaaaa....I think this is chicken tho! The rabbit meat is very soft soft nen nen...I guess that's why it cost RM1.60 each!! And we got 9 for the price of 4...I wonder if the place rugi or not...O.o

Total we calculated (From the number of satays and types we got): ~RM50.00
Price we paid: RM34.90 (This was the number of satays and types we ORDERED...)

Either the management a bit off...or else we were super lucky hahaaa....

Oh dear, I am getting guilty pangs now...

I realized I didn't take pics of the PEOPLE...So I stole these from Faffy's blog:

Allbelot and me...I have no peace sign because I didn't know Ann was taking a photo of me...=.=" And I always know how to take photos nicely, FAT FURRY FAFFY!!! =.=

Ann and the side of Faffy's face...Faffy scared to put photos of himself up har? Too fat and furry already...LOL

How the Pizza Hut Gang Ended Up in MarryBrown

I went out with some of the old Pizza Hut Gang from Cochrane today! Met Hui Yin and Kar Mun outside Borders in Times Square, then later we were joined by Cherlynn! We wondered around looking for our usual pizza place (Pizza Hut or Shakeys were our favourites...then we figured there wasn't one at Times Square, so we wandered onto Marrybrown instead!!) We met up with Bo Kheng there!! :D She kind of got lost, and then accidentally found Marrybrown haha!!

Yeah, we found this instead heheh...

ME, Kar Mun, Bo Kheng, Cherlynn and Hui Yin!!

The trouble with meeting up nowadays is that our holidays don't seem to clash anymore!! Bo Kheng and Cherlynn are both at IMU doing Pharmacy and Medicine respectively, so they're having a short break after exams...but Kar Mun (doing Biotech at UCSI) had class this morning, and Hui Yin's (Actuarial Science at UTAR) school starts NEXT week!!

And the rest of the Pizza Hut Gang couldn't make it for various reasons T.T Exams lar, class lar...Sigh...But we must stay in touch!!! Form Six was such a totally fun (and yet not fun heheee) time!! And all the bonding and studying we did together!! And eating hahaaa!! And staying back after school for koko, spending recesses chatting about nonsense, sitting in Zi Man's car and playing with Benjy Bear (I MISS BENJY!!!), movies after exams.... :D :D :D Puan Tan...hahhaaa, our maths teacher who treated us like kindergarten students (if you get all correct I give you STICKER!!! :D) but taught us super well (I think a lot of us got A's for Maths!!)...Puan Faizah (Bio!!) and her powerpoint slides...Puan Khoo (Chemistry!!) and her rather absent mindedness...Not forgetting Puan Rohizan, our MUET teacher!! And for me, I remember also Mr See (I remember standing in the landing outside the lifts one day with Yan Lin, in hysterics over the prospect of SEE-ing Mr. See) who helped me out for my Physics Practicals (Since I couldn't very well do them outside...) and retired in the middle of Upper Six (And the whole Science 1 practically bawled that time...He was a really good teacher!! He stuttered, but once you got used to it, heheee....)

Hmm, those were the days!! :D

Why I am VERY Happy Today :D

I AM VERY HAPPY TODAY.

Lots of nice things happened! I went to visit my grandparents this morning, and lo!! MY CUTE AND ADORABLE COUSIN WAS THERE!! He's soooo sweet! And he can crawl now!! (His main incentives to crawl was in turn my uncle's hand phone, a calendar and a cup...he wanted to eat them, for some reason O.o) He loves his reflection in the mirror (vain-pot) and he likes to be swung around like superman! Lol!

So, after a great morning playing with my cousin...could it get any better? YESSS!!! Can you believe it?

THIS IS JUST A GREAT DAY.

Sigh. I am so happy.

SILA GOT ROOM 3-316!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really want to thank God as she and I have been praying that she'll get block 3, but now, we've been given way more than we ever prayed for!! :D WE ARE NEIGHBOURS!!! Thuy, if you ever, ever read this, well, welcome to weirdness! Lets do weird things together! You cannot help doing strange things when you're with us!! Hohoho!!

OH!! AND THANK YOU SING YEE AND JIUN HAW OUR NEW P AND VP!!!! WE SUPPORT YOU BOTH WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!! YOU HAVE TWO ARDENT SUPPORTERS NOW! I JUST KNOW YOU BOTH WILL DO GREAT! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Well, now come to think of it, I want to blog about leadership. Hmm. I think to be a leader, you have to be a servant. A leader must work more than his followers. He (I am using he, but I most certainly do not mean 'he' as in masculine, but 'he' as in general humanity. So there.) must be an example to the others. He has to be responsible for his actions, he has to be strict and yet kind. If there is something to be done, he must be there first. Only then can he ask others to go there and do things. I can't think anymore because I am very happy and don't have much in my mind but happiness, so I shan't continue, but I think I have lots more to write if I can only think in that direction a bit more!

Tata!! I hope the day will continue in this way! :D PASTA DINNER LATER!! YAY!!!

Sausages!

Pasta Sauce!

Spaghetti!!

MEAT balls!

Wing Mei! Gail!

Jon! Nekomimichan!

Mimikorkor! Jerome!

The Martians! Oops! That's for calling me Ti-er-za hahaa...Lloyd! And Jessen!

Gideon was unfortunately omitted as my camera ran out of battery after taking the Martian's photograph. Hmm.

Sila and I were out because we were taking photographs :D

GREAT DAY!

now i have to start studying

Jason Mraz!!!

Jason Mraz rocks hahaaa! I can't figure why I like his songs...but they are so addictive! :D He's very talented! And creative! Lol...clever way with words, hehe!!

His WEBBIEE!!

Cute website!!

WORDPLAY
Jason Mraz

I've been all around the world
I've been a new sensation
But it doesn't really matter
In this ge-generation
The sophomore slump is an uphill battle
And someone said that ain't my scene
'Cause they need a new song
Like a new religion
Music for the television
I can't do the long division
Someone do the math
For the record label puts me on the shelf up in the freezer
Gotta find another way to live the life of leisure
So I drop my top,
Mix and a mingle
Is everybody ready for the single and it goes...

Ha La La La La
L-listen closer to the verse I lay
Ha La La La La
It's all about the wordplay
Ha La La La love
The wonderful thing it does
Because, because
I am the wizard of ooh's and ah's and fa-la-la's
Yeah The Mr. A to Z
They say I'm all about the wordplay

When it's time to get ill I got your remedy
For those who don't remember me
Well let me introduce you to my style
I try to keep a jumble in the lyrics
never mumble
When the music's makin' people tongue-tied
You want a new song
Like a new religion
Music for the television
I can't do the long division
Someone do the math
For the people write me off like I'm a one-hit wonder
Gotta find another way to keep from goin' under
Pull out the stops,
Got your attention
I guess it's time again for me to mention
The wordplay

Ha La La La La
L-listen closer to the words I lay
Ha La La La La
It's all about the wordplay
Ha La La La love
The wonderful thing it does
Because, because
I am the wizard of ooh's and ah's and fa-la-la's
Yeah The Mr. A to Z
They say I'm all about the wordplay

I built a bridge across the stream of consciousness
That always seems to be a flowin'
But I don't know which way my brain is goin'
Oh the rhymin' and the timin'
Keeps the melodies inside of me
And they're climbin'
'Till I'm running out of air
Are you prepared to take a dive into the deep end of my head
Are you listening to a single word I've said?
