Proverbs 22:29
Seest thou a man diligent in his business?
he shall stand before kings;
he shall not stand before mean men.

I like the King Jame's Version of this verse because it uses the word 'diligent'! Diligent means patient, persevering, painstaking effort. If a man can do that, he will go far! He will stand before kings, and not before mean men.

Proverbs is so WISE! Even if you are not a Christian, proverbs is a better self help book than many on the market. it is very comprehensive. most self-help books can only expand upon the topics covered in Proverbs, because it covers practically every area of life. aye, i no kid you.

Proverbs was written by a wise king named Solomon. Solomon was wise because he asked God for wisdom rather than wealth...and then God gave him wealth as well because he chose what was more important!
