If I Could See You Again

Okay, this is a very strange sounding blog title! Well, there are some people whom I would love to see again, but that's not the point haha.

YIRUMA is the point. LOL, I'm addicted to his songs!! They are perfect study songs. I can have it going on and on in the background and study very well, when even Buble would distract me.

I am thinking of getting an ipod. Should I? I am loath to spend so much on a single object, but I should treat myself for my birthday, no? Haih. I dunno. I don't really NEED one. Too bad I still can't afford a DSLR. Still, I probably won't get one. Years of thrifty spending won't turn me into a sudden big spender overnight. I can go out with a large amount of cash and buy absolutely nothing. I don't know if this is a good thing. Hey, do you know that consumer spending HELPS the economy? So it is good to spend. If everyone is thrifty and don't spend unless necessary our economy will collapse. I'm not sure how it works, but I think it's logical. Thankfully this won't ever happen, not when there are ladies around haha.

Speaking of cash, I am now a Scale Bar-iste!! Only I deal with toner rather than coffee beans lol. 8 dollars an hour isn't bad, and I only work two hours a week. Pays off my weekly meals just nicely. Not bad, not bad at all. And Scale Bar is just 10 feet away from my studio lol.

I HAVE to write about concert...

A wonderful performance this year, as always. The plot was really good, kept me on my toes wondering who killed Alfred Black. There seems to be more major roles this year compared to last, and quite a bit of good acting, especially by the lawyer (he has to be the most bombastic character I have ever seen (reminds me of the Brain in Pinky and the Brain)) but it was really in character, somehow. Each actor put a bit of themselves into the character, so I am a bit worried for the butler, lol. But the 'love' scene between Housekeeper Plumley and the butler was one of the funniest scenes I ever sat through...and their love for dancing kind of sent shivers down my spine, it's just scary. Rather perverted.

The singing was okay, but not quite as nice as last (Eheheemmm). Sets were good (some were just HUGE) though I realize there could be a little more things done (Sets is a whole new world of designing, come to think of it, it's more like creating little toys that you can mix and match and reuse and put together. A fascinating field of design) but it was quite effective throughout. I wish the billiard table was cleaner and more posh looking, though. Hm, if the sets looked posher the whole show would have come through even better. Still, sets were better than last year's, I think. But that's just my opinion.

The songs? Well, truth is I couldn't hear some of the lyrics especially those sung by the guys (why?) we need another Akash. Anyway, some of the girls had nice enough voices, I guess. The lawyer sung quite well, and all his words were articulated very well. He had to be the best actor in the whole play. He's made for stage. I think that bombastic acting doesn't go for movies, but I think he can adapt. I must get his autograph, lol.

The whole thing was very interesting and I liked the feel of it because I LOVE AGATHA CHRISTIE!!! And somehow there was an Agatha Christie feel throughout. And I loved the Roald Dahl touch with the lamb shoulder. That was one of Dahl's twisted stories. Macabre. LOL, I wonder who thought of it.

I think the script was simply amazing. If the actors were professional, and there was a huge budget for the sets...then I have a feeling that this show could be commercialized. It was THAT good. Something like the Mousetrap.

I guess it's just that I miss Agatha Christie.

The biscuit scene. LOL.

I can't say which song I liked best in this one, I rather liked the one between Aidan and Gabrielle, call me a bit silly, but then I liked it. Shy Aidan and Flashy Scarlett. I always liked those scenes in Agatha Christie. Oh yeah, it was super funny when Aidan asked Scarlett: How is love? Or something of the kind...and then Chun Heng said: Love is hungry...cos Luv was sitting next to him...LOL

I felt that the thing has potential to be great, and what better praise can it be for a musical produced and acted by non-professional actors? :D

Oh and PUB, PUB WAS SUPERB. Could be improved upon, perhaps if they had a larger budget, but then what they did come up with was absolutely duperly amazing. :D :D :D IMPRESSIVE.

Well, just my thoughts on the matter!!! :)

Aha!! If any of you have noticed, my profile pic has changed...it's the fairy tale-est dress I have ever seen!!!!

Ooo, and also, if you've noticed, there is a little picture at the side of the blog below my profile, and that is where I post my latest drawings, paintings etc etc hahaha...this horse was drawn in 3 minutes flat, so that's why it's called the three minute horse. :D
