He Giveth More Grace

Climb Till Your Dream Comes True
by : Helen Steiner Rice, Wendy's Page

Often your tasks will be many,
and more than you think you can do..
often the hills insurmountable, too..
but always remember..
the hills ahead are never as steep as they seem,
and with faith in your heart, start upward
and climb 'til you reach your dream.
for nothing in life that is worthy
is ever too hard to achieve
if you have the faith to believe..
for faith is a force that is greater
than knowledge or power or skill
and many defeats turn to triumph
if you trust in God's wisdom and will..
there is nothing that God cannot do,
so start out today with faith in your heart
and climb 'til your dream comes true.

Mummy sent me this poem last night.

I just read Psalm 119 a couple nights ago, and it was the strangest thing, as it was absolutely spot on to certain issues i was facing in my life right now. Mummy made me memorize Psalm 119:9-11 back then: How can a young man make his way pure? By keeping heed thereto according to Thy word. With mine whole heart have I sought Thee, oh let me not wander from Your commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against Thee.

Certain words were really relevant:

"Happy are the people of integrity,
who follow the law of the Lord.
Happy are those who obey His decrees
and search for Him with all their hearts.
They do not compromise with evil,
and they walk only in His paths.
You have charged us
to keep your commandments carefully.
Oh that my actions would consistently
reflect Your principles!"

My life needs to reflect His principles, and let me never ever compromise with evil. The entire Psalm is one of obedience to God's principles and laws, guided by God's word. The Psalms are so beautiful!

And a talk with mummy revealed this to me: being rich and 'successful' in the world's eyes is dud if my character is lousy inside. A single wrongdoing when repeated and compromised upon can grow into habit, and habit becomes character. I'd rather have a good character than anything else in the world.
