I am so glad that there is a firm foundation in this changing world. Someone who is always the same, and is always good. Always faithful, loving, merciful.

Oh how difficult it is to hold on when things fall into pieces around you! And you think: "Will it make any difference if I let go?" Unless you believe the thing you are holding on to is always there and will never give way. How strange that faith is self sustaining.
