a durian hating sister has been complaining of a durian smelling fridge, thus, a way of dispensing of the durian cream had to be envisaged, and here it is:

i have a soft spot for the morning sun, it makes everything look nice

and this is how you eat it!

swiss roll recipe:

ingredients:
(A) 5 egg yolks, 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup sugar, 1/4 cup milk, 1/4 cup corn oil, 1/2 tsp baking powder
(B) 5 egg whites, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp cream of tartar

1. mix (A) together till well combined, light, creamy looking.
2. preheat oven to 175C.
3. beat egg whites till foamy. add cream of tartar. whip till stiff. add sugar bit by bit. whip till very stiff. whip for 10 minutes if you like. more if you enjoy whipping. can't overbeat for this one.
4. fold (B) mixture into (A) mixture slowly to make sure you don't lose air.
5. bake in oven in flat tray at 175C for about 10 min or clean satay stick thing.
6. spread durian cream/fresh cream/butter and honey/jam/creamy stuff/chocolatey stuff/hazelnutsandcream/there loads of examples on the sponge, take care to leave an empty space at the portion which will be the end of your roll or you will having cream falling out, roll it, chill, cut and serve :)
i chill because it's durian cream
