Tiba Saatnya
Tiba saatnya kami berkumpul bersatu
Dari segnap suku dan bangsa
Berdiri di hadapan tahta anak domba
satu suara, menyatakan
Keselamatan bagi Allah yang duduk dan bertahta
Kami naikkan pada Anak Domba
Pujian dan kekuatan
Hormat dan kekuasaan
Kemuliaan bagi Dia selamanya

A quick translation!
The Time Has Come
The time has come for us to gather in unity
From every clan and every nation
To stand in front of the throne of the Lamb
And as one voice, say
Safety for God who sits on the throne
We raise to the Lamb of God
Praise and power
Respect and authority
Majesty toward Him forever
I'm not too sure about the translation, and back then I used to wonder what the domba meant...hehe...Then I checked it up, and behold, I learned a new word! lol
There have been so many songs in my head, none have been sticking for too long a time...so I decided to choose this old song I used to sing at YA and liked very much...
I like this song because it is a song of praise. And I like it also because it is in Malay! Funny reason to like a song, hmmm? I haven't been close friends with a Malay before, although I was in a Malay primary school for three years. After that my schools become somehow predominantly Chinese (Anyone from SMK Taman Connaught can attest to that) and when I went to SMK Cochrane for my Form Six, there weren't any Malays in my Science Stream class (perhaps because they went off to matriculation or got offered scholarships) so I hung out mainly with my group of Chinese friends and a couple of nice Indian friends whom I actually learned a bit of Tamil from haha!
Well, back to the Malays. My father has a thing for Malays. He doesn't like how the political system works in Malaysia, but he has a soft spot for them. He remembers playing football in the mud with a group of Malay kids in his youth. They were fun. He didn't think they shouldn't be saved.
And the news of a Muslim guy named Zam converting to Christianity here in Singapore has opened questions in my head, like it opened questions in my dad's head before. Malays (Muslims?) should be saved too. Why, God loves them...just as he loved their spiritual ancestor, Ishmael.
This question, perhaps...is a 'sensitive issue'. I feel helpless here, unable to do anything about it. Right now, I will pray about it. And God in His own time will do as He wills. I hope that I will be able to say: God, here am I, send me...If ever the need arises! This may be wishful thinking, perhaps God has other plans for me, but who knows?
I believe one day the Malays will be able to choose to follow what they believe in back in Malaysia. The day is coming soon. The Lina Joy case did not come through. But one day, the time will come! And then we can really sing this song :)...oh well. Enough talking about sensitive issues and back to doing some research for my next design class. XXP

I don't think it's wise to blog about sensitive issues, but all the same, if you want to reach out to the Malays, and be persecuted for that, I want to be counted in that number.
This was what I was waiting for, after all that training. You know, I didn't become proficient in BM for no reason. Curiosity of the Malay culture and local dialects wasn't a coincidence... God has a plan, and that's why no matter how I wish to see the world, I still have a strong feeling that I will end up in Malaysia someday.
Don't wanna be a Jonah:-)
There are many people who have blogged about issues more volatile than this :P
Well, whatever God leads you to do, just pray that at the time you will have the strength and courage to obey!
